| Purchased
a house with my now ex-partner, I provided all the capital (75k) he took out a mortgage. Consulted FDC Law to draw up a tenants in common contract at time of
purchase to protect my interests, when the relationship broke down and I tried to purchase his interest in the property, it came to light FDC Law had lost the tenants in common
contract, had not retained a record of it's whereabouts, had not retained a copy. It resulted in a two year legal battle, costing me thousands, fighting to save my
home from a possession order taken out by my ex-partner claiming the house was his. All of this was made possible by FDC Law losing the contract. Avoid them
like the plague, they'll lie and cheat to cover their tracks, if you complain as I did, and eventually after many months, get a reply from their insurers - they'll dismiss their
incompetence as nothing more than "merely an inconvenience". Two bloody years of sleepless nights and thousands of pounds worth of inconvenience!
Sod all "mere" about it. Oh, and don't expect an apology, because you'll never get one.
