    Burrows claimed to be specialist child care firm and qualified / experienced barrister.

    David Burrows held up the case, of a child at risk for 1 year, ignored all warnings / abandonment by both parents / child living rough with sex offender / no food, clothes, education. Used Legal Aid money earmarked for barrister by saying he was advising, although he did not.

    Further Legal Aid certificate then refused. This was supported by David Burrows, so I went personally to the Legal Aid Tribunal in London who supported my appeal and the panel advised immediate action under new Legal Aid certificate they then awarded. Burrows used the money earmarked by the Law Society and finally under duress went to court - only to loose the case in the High Court due to not knowing the case or reading case files. (He had told me not to attend the court but I went anyway).

    Judge frustrated because simple q's not considered or answered by David Burrows so judge had to dismiss the case. Afterwards Burrows claimed "the judge was wrong" and said he would take an appeal via Legal Aid, based exactly the same way. When I refused he wrote to the High Court to prevent me taking my own case rather than him. It was then too late to do anything due to the childs age - 16.

    The child went to the wall. (I am the child's grandmother and sought to protect her rights as well as to protect her. She had also been abandoned by Bristol Social Services - budget considerations). David Burrows in anger then misled Legal Aid Society saying I had private means so I shouldn't have had legal aid previously - took months to sort out but Legal Aid did nothing about him after ascertaining he had misled them.

    Burrows suddenly filed court papers on me saying he had done extra work costing over £800 and should have been paid, although he had only worked through Legal Aid throughout with LA certificates. No other work had been done. Because I was so stressed I ended up paying it rather than attempt to go to court against a solicitor, who had already been shown to, shall we say mislead whenever it suited him.History had already showed me I wouldn't win against a solicitor!

    I FILED A COMPLAINT TO THE LAW SOCIETY THEN OMBUDSMAN ABOUT BURROWS SOLICITORS AND I AM STILL AWAITING THE OUTCOME - SINCE JANUARY 2000.

    But I have already been told by the Ombudsman and Law Society that nothing will be done about David Burrows and the complaint, despite the codes of conduct broken, and the damage done to a child he was paid to help protect but put his own interests first.

    He is without even basic conscience or morality - a psychopath.
