I arrived for my initial appointment, to find it was cancelled. The receptionist stated that they' "did not have my phone number" despite my number being both on file, and on my headed notepaper, which I used to contact them well before the appointment.

They made no effort to contact me. A completely wasted journey and an inauspicious start. When I did manage to see someone some time later, I was referred to as, "Mr Beresford", throughout the interview, which is not my surname. At this appointment a course of action was agreed upon. There followed a lengthy period of inactive silence over the weeks that followed. Ipso facto, I sent Amphletts 2 emails, both of which went unacknowledged and unanswered.

This was the antitheses of their publicity material, which made much of "Keeping the client, informed". One line of reply, via email or letter, being beyond this firm's capability. The course of action agreed upon was not carried out as promised. A letter to the opposing side's solicitor was not sent, rather, Mr Hind merely made a telephone call to the opposition's solicitor (a female) during which he billed and cooed sweet nothings without defending my interests as vigourously as he had promised - he merely enjoyed a frolic and gambol, hand in hand with the other solicitor, through the buttercup meadow, gaily scattering bills as they wended their jolly way home.

This I deduce from the letter he sent me as a result of this telephone call-a letter which defended THE OPPOSITION and made no reference to the bold action he had initially promised me. Further, the letter revealed that he was on intimate, first name terms with my opponent, the other party.........yet at my interview he couldn't get MY name right....... Given the above, would you like te be represented by this firm on, say, a murder charge? Solicitors are expensive as we all know, so my advice is, do NOT under any circumstances; employ this firm in any capacity whatsoever.

Do not waste your money, and, if receiving public funding, do NOT waste your time. I find this firm to be inept, slothful, arrogant, fumbling, craven and not fit for purpose.
